We pride ourselves on providing you with what you want, not what we think you need.

You will be involved throughout the whole process from start to finish – be it taking in a side seam to creating the wedding dress of your dreams. We will not do anything without your say so.

For repairs and alterations, it is preferable to arrange a consultation for some garments to view the alterations that are required and to ensure they will be a perfect fit once completed. We also like to arrange a brief consultation prior to pick up of the garment to ensure that you are satisfied with the outcome. We do not charge for the two consultations associated with certain garments and these are marked on the price list.

For Bridal repairs and alterations, we will arrange consultations as we see fit. If we did not construct the garment in question, then we do not know how it was made or the quality of the materials untill we begin to work with it. Often, Bridal alterations have to take place in a very short time frame, and while we do advise that you see to this around four weeks before your wedding date, we do also understand that there are emergencies. Extra charges may be applicable in emergency cases, but we are commited to ensuring every bride has a perfect day. We have been known to work through the night to get dresses done for 10am the next day. You should never worry – it will always get done!

For full projects like weddings and proms or theatrical costumes, we will provide you with a series of sketches following an initial consultation. Only when you have agreed the design do we provide a quote. This could mean a dozen ideas or just two, but we will not move forward untill you are completly thrilled by the vision of the final creation.

Following the inital design and quote, we will create a pattern and a mock up (usually called a ‘toile’). The toile is used to ensure a perfect fit, which could take several fittings and would probably ruin your final fabric choice. At any point, untill we begin using the final fabric, you can alter your design and change your mind (please note that drastic changes could affect your quote but you will be advised if it does). We will also provide you with samples of any emboidery and/ or beadwork to be included on the final garment.

Final alterations, prior to your prom or wedding date, are offered free of charge to our clients who commision thier wedding or prom dress from us.
